Heritage Planning for Moms

Moms,
Have you ever found yourself worrying about what would happen if you were to pass away before your children reach adulthood? Have you considered who would be aware of all the intricacies involved in your daily family life? Who holds all the countless small yet significant details about your children's lives? From school and classes to sports, their friends’ parents' names, appointments, and medical or dental information, there's a wealth of knowledge. Moms are aware of even the intimate details, like each child's clothing size and their favorite fruits packed in lunch boxes. They keep all this information stored in their minds, but what would happen if you weren’t around? Do you ponder what information to document and keep organized in one place? Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by the idea of tackling this, causing you to continually postpone it? You are not alone.
Almost 10 years ago....I experienced the loss of my spouse at 35, with my children being just 4 years old and 23 months old at the time. This tragic event led me to contemplate many thoughts and "what if" scenarios regarding my own potential passing before my children turn 18. With a heart full of knowledge, I aspire to support other moms in feeling less anxious about this important topic. It’s a topic that many of us prefer to avoid, as we naturally wish for a long life. However, as mothers, it is our responsibility to ensure that our children are taken care of in the event that something happens to us.
Life is unpredictable, and as mothers, our greatest desire is to be prepared while ensuring our children are safe, loved, and secure.
If you were to unexpectedly pass away, no one could truly replace you; you are their mother. However, having your spouse, partner, or someone close who is aware of all the countless details about your children's lives can provide essential support for them in the event of your absence.
